Job Role-Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Manager to oversee and manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate bookkeeping, managing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, calculating costs for various projects, and ensuring timely GST filings. The role demands a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

* Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded and documented according to company policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

* P&L Management:

  • Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss statements to monitor the company’s financial performance.
  • Identify trends and variances in financial performance and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with management to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Report on financial performance and make recommendations for improvement.

* Project Wise Cost Calculation:

  • Track and manage project expenses, ensuring accuracy and alignment with budgets.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports for ongoing and completed projects.
  • Work with project managers to analyze cost variances and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Maintain detailed records of project expenditures and reconcile with project budgets.

* GST Filing:

  • Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with GST regulations and address any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GST laws and changes.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and handle GST audits if required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus).
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, financial management, and project cost calculation.
  • Strong understanding of GST laws and filing procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
